Face Your Fears at Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary

During the half term from 26th October to 1st November as well as all the usual fishy fun you would find at the Sea Life Centres you can also get hands on with some other creepy crawlies & creatures at no extra cost. Last week we were lucky enough to be added to the press guest list at the Scarborough Sea Life Centre & invited along to their special "Face Your Fears" event. I knew this would be right up Amelias street so accepted the challenge.

Scatty About Scandi

This time 4 weeks ago i didn't even know what "SCANDI" was. I have been actively improving my home for over a year now & room by room it's coming together nicely. Pinterest has been my main source of inspiration & then when i realised much of what attracted me originated in Norway, i hit up Airbnb to look at REAL Norwegian homes & that is when i found out that my style was what is better known as Scandi.

The Body Shop - Spa of the World

Having been a Manager previously for a Spa company, i can't tell you how excited i was to receive an invitation from the the gorgeous Michelle who is the Manager of The Body Shop in The Coppergate Shopping Centre in York to see the new Spa of the World range. I have been thoroughly surprised by The Body Shops launches over the past year or so. Firstly their wonderful Italian Summer Fig launch which for me is just a mediterranean holiday in a bottle & now my favourite product in all the world, a spa range! Can't you tell i'm just overflowing with excitement about it all.

My High End Wish List

I have never been a label whore & although i love to follow trends & fashion i can never seem to justify the price tag enough to indulge myself. However, sometimes a girl likes to dream & the other morning i was doing just that. Not quite awake i sat nursing my coffee & thinking about what i'd purchase if i ever had a small windfall & here is what i found myself lusting after.....

May was a funny old month wasn't it & although the weather changed from day to day my make up routine has stayed the same pretty much all of Spring. As you can see by the picture above, many of my products are running scarily low. This however is a good thing as i am itching to crack open some gorgeous new make up that i have put by for the Summer months. For now though, lets take a look at whats been on my face for the past few months........

My Dream Bedroom With Rodgers Of York

Discover Crabtree & Evelyn

Have you heard of a brand called Crabtree & Evelyn? Did you know that there is much more to them than meets the eye? How many of you have seen a store front just like the one below & walked on by with a preconception that it wouldn't really be your cup of tea?

I can fully admit that i too was one of those people, that was until i was invited to the launch event for Garden Celebration. Now i invite you to come inside & take a peek as i'm sure you'll be as surprised & delighted as i was.

INTERIOR DECOR ON A BUDGET - FINISHING TOUCHES

There is something about spring that brings out the interior designer in me. Now don't get me wrong, i don't have a qualification in interior design. However, i have had a passion for it & watched programmes such as HOME FRONT as a young adult. That qualifies me, right?

As the owner of what can only be described as a poky Barratt house, for the ten years we have owned the property it has evolved into a more chilled domain when it comes to decor. I used to love such trends as two bright colours separated by a gaudy paper border in the middle or thinking that moss green & terracotta orange went together perfectly. I'm showing my age now!

Above is a collection of just a few of my favourite items that i have found whilst researching for what i call, "things to titivate" my bedroom. I know how costly it can be when looking to update/refurbish/redecorate a room, so i thought i would share one of my favourite places to source those little finishing touches.

BIRTHDAY MAKEOVER TREATS FROM CHANEL

On my birthday i got to spend one glorious hour with a stunning Chanel make-up artist in HOUSE OF FRASER at Meadowhall. I was planning to replace my Mac mineralise skin finish natural(Medium) anyway, as i had hit pan some weeks ago. I'd read a lot of rave reviews about LES BEIGES & seen what this finely milled powder could do through watching demo videos over on YouTube. So when the lovely Chanel lady mentioned that i could redeem the £25 from a makeover on Chanel products i thought it would be rude not to plop my behind down on her bar stool.
